Willows coming soon |

Gina
Jacobson wasn't sure how she would find things when
she returned to her hometown to accept a teaching
job at the local Middle School. She would have preferred
to take a job somewhere else, but with her parents
out of the country, someone needed to be there for
her 105 year old grandmother. Irma could no longer
speak and mostly sat in her rocking chair, holding
a ragged doll. |
| |
People
were amazed that Irma was still alive, but everyone
at the Whispering Willows Rest Home loved her -
especially Monica. Monica didn't have many friends.
In fact, she felt that Irma was the only real friend
she had. |

Based
on the life of the author's amazing 105-year-old
grandmother, Whispering Willows promises
to touch your heart and help you gain a new respect
for the sanctity of life. |

of Your Own coming soon |

It
seemed like any other day in the emergency room,
though somewhat slower than usual. Then Kim took
a telephone call that had Blake concerned. She greeted
the caller with her usual enthusiasm, but then her
face became solemn and a tear formed in her eye.
Blake approached her to see if everything was okay,
but had to stop when the red telephone rang. |
| |
Blake
answered the direct line to the local emergency
medical services. The paramedic on the other end
informed him that they were enroute to the hospital
with a 31-year-old male in full cardiac arrest.
Blake took down the information and gave the usual
instructions. "We'll see you in three," he said
and was about to hang up when the paramedic uttered
words that changed everything. "Blake," he said,
"I think it's one of your own." |
